Welcome to Ghana Eats. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any services provided by Ghana Eats (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

Ghana Eats reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Ghana Eats is a restaurant discovery and food ordering platform that connects users with restaurants and street food vendors across Ghana. Our services include:

• Restaurant and street food vendor listings and reviews
• Online food ordering and delivery coordination
• Table reservation services
• Loyalty rewards program (Ghana Eats Rewards)
• Premium subscription services (Ghana Eats Plus)
• AI-powered food recommendations

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Orders and Payments

When you place an order through Ghana Eats:

• You agree to pay all charges associated with your order, including food costs, delivery fees, service fees, and applicable taxes
• Prices are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and are subject to change
• We accept Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money), credit/debit cards, and cash on delivery where available
• Orders are subject to acceptance by the restaurant or vendor
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on traffic, weather, and restaurant preparation time

5. Restaurant and Vendor Partners

Ghana Eats serves as an intermediary between users and independent restaurant/vendor partners. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of food prepared by partners
• The accuracy of menu items, descriptions, or pricing provided by partners
• Food allergies or dietary requirements not properly communicated
• Partner operating hours or temporary closures

While we work with certified vendors where possible, users should exercise their own judgment when ordering from any establishment.

6. Reviews and User Content

Users may submit reviews, ratings, photos, and other content ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant Ghana Eats a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
• Confirm that your content is original and does not infringe on third-party rights
• Agree not to post false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive content
• Accept that we may remove content that violates these Terms

7. Loyalty Program and Subscriptions

Ghana Eats Rewards: Points earned through our loyalty program have no cash value and expire 12 months after earning. Point values and redemption options may change at our discretion.

Ghana Eats Plus: Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Benefits are subject to change with reasonable notice.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated systems to extract data from our Service
• Submit fraudulent orders or payment information
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our partners

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ghana Eats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Ghana Eats in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
